The woman looked pale, staring at them in horror.

Then, as if finding strength from nowhere, she screamed, got up, and ran away.

What, you’re not going to thank me?!

"Boss, see, I told you none of these people are any good." Sidekick No. 1 fanned the flames.

Sidekick No. 2 chimed in: "Yeah, boss, we saved her, and she wasn’t grateful at all, even looked at us like we bullied her."

An orange cat hurriedly ran back, panting as it said, "I saw someone sneaking around!"

Chuzheng flicked her tail: "Where?" Let’s see who’s messing with my underlings!

"Over there!"

The orange cat led the way, and Chuzheng quickly spotted the sneaky person, a girl.

The girl had cat food in her hand, bent over, looking back and forth among some clutter, calling out in a soft ’meow’.

The girl didn’t find any cats, left the cat food in a corner with a sigh, and left.

This girl seemed to merely be feeding stray cats, without anything suspicious.

The orange cat was embarrassed, avoiding Chuzheng’s gaze.

Just as Chuzheng was about to leave, a little cat cautiously emerged from the pile of clutter, looking around to ensure no one was there before approaching the cat food.

The twist came when that little cat darted out, another girl emerged from the dark, using a bag in her hand to trap the little cat.

"Meow!!"

The little cat struggled and cried.

The girl held the bag shut and hurried away.

This girl was not the same one who had fed the cat earlier; she didn’t take the main road but opted for the more difficult alleys.

Chuzheng immediately had the orange cat call the others, intercepting the girl in one of the alleyways.

Despite the sudden appearance of so many cats, the girl showed no fear, just spinning in place.

Chuzheng sat on the nearby wall, watching the girl from above.

The girl had a pale face, vacant eyes, and her lips moved constantly, yet no sound came out.

She looked extremely strange.

The girl had no combat ability; Chuzheng easily knocked her to the ground and bound her, yet the girl remained in that dazed state.

Given the situation, Chuzheng found it hard to handle, so she sent a message to Shang Qi, asking him to send a bodyguard.

Today Shang Qi had work, so Chuzheng didn’t intend for him to come himself.
