Chapter 105 105: The Jujutsu World
3 weeks ago · 7 min read
Tanjirou's life had come to an end.
Even so, a gentle smile remained on his face.
Asuramaru stood beside the bed for a long time, silent.
He had watched Tanjirou grow from a boy carrying hatred and grief into a man who had saved the world, built a family, and grown old beneath the quiet mountain sky. He had seen him laugh, bleed, despair, rise again, and finally die without regret.
To say he felt nothing would have been a lie.
After a long silence, Demon Power flowed from Asuramaru's hands.
He lifted Tanjirou's body with care, supporting him as if he were carrying something fragile, and brought him outside to the sea of flowers blooming in the open clearing.
There, among the graves Tanjirou himself had tended for most of his life, another grave had already been dug.
Zenitsu and the others rested here as well.
Now, Tanjirou would join them.
Asuramaru buried him beneath the flowers.
Once everything was done, he drove his true body into the earth before the grave. His manifested form scattered into black mist and returned to the sword.
Behind him, the young men and women who had witnessed everything stood frozen in disbelief.
They had grown up hearing stories.
Stories of a sword inhabited by a god.
Stories of the war against demons.
Stories of their father or grandfather walking with an immortal companion who spoke with a sharp tongue and a soft heart hidden beneath it.
But this was the first time they had seen Asuramaru with their own eyes.
No one stepped forward.
No one dared disturb him.
Inside the sword, silence stretched on.
Only after a long while did Asuramaru finally speak.
"System, initiate the crossover."
The response came at once.
[Ding! The system has received your request. Crossover will begin in seven days!]
Seven days' notice.
Even now, the system still found ways to be troublesome.
Asuramaru almost wanted to laugh, but the feeling faded before it reached his lips. It did not matter anymore.
He opened his personal status panel.
At the bottom, the number of emotion points had reached a staggering seven hundred thousand.
That amount, at least, soothed the heaviness in his heart by a small margin.
"System," he said without hesitation, "unlock the golden horn."
[Ding! 500,000 emotion points consumed.]
[Golden Horn unlocked!]
[Effect: Blowing the horn activates the Seraph of the End form, codename: Salt King.]
[Note: Activation requires the Sword Master's physical body to meet the corresponding standard. If the body is insufficient, the Sword Master will suffer fatal backlash. Transformation duration is determined by physical strength.]
[All abilities of the current template have now been unlocked!]
The moment the notification faded, the world inside the sword changed.
At the farthest edge of that inner world, where sky met sea, a golden horn radiated light.
Holy brilliance rose above it.
Within that light, faint angelic silhouettes circled, drifting like shadows cast by heaven itself.
"So this is the power of the horn?"
Asuramaru had not even used it yet, but he could already feel the absurdity of the force contained within.
It was not merely destructive.
It was closer to a rule.
A decree.
Anything touched by it would be reduced to pillars of lifeless salt, without negotiation, resistance, or explanation.
If Muzan were to claw his way back from hell right now, Asuramaru suspected a single wave of that power would turn him into a pile of white dust.
With this ability, as long as the next world was not outrageously beyond reason, survival should not be too difficult.
Besides, he still had two hundred thousand emotion points remaining.
That was enough for a reserve.
For seven days, the sword remained before Tanjirou's grave.
Rain fell once.
Sunlight returned.
The flowers swayed in the wind, scattering pale petals across the earth.
At last, the system's voice sounded again.
[Ding! Seven days have passed. Please prepare yourself, Host. Crossover will now begin!]
"So it's finally time."
After spending decades in this world, Asuramaru's heart had long since settled. He was no longer as impatient as he had once been.
But before leaving, he released one final surge of Demon Power.
A clone of the sword formed in front of the grave, standing in the same place as his true body.
Then, his actual sword body turned into particles of light.
Bit by bit, he began to vanish from that world.
This time, Asuramaru witnessed the entire process.
He did not lose consciousness the moment the crossing began. He saw himself detach from the world, saw its boundary fall away behind him, and saw the vast path between worlds stretch open like an endless river of light.
Then, halfway through the crossing, something tore across his vision.
A dazzling sword light descended from somewhere beyond his perception.
With a single slash, an entire world was erased.
An exasperated voice followed after it.
"Little Black, put your back into it!"
Asuramaru was filled with question marks.
What the hell was that?
Before he could process it, the crossing had already carried him far away.
He passed through another boundary.
This time, perhaps because permission had already been granted, he entered directly.
Then his vision went dark.
All senses disappeared.
An unknown amount of time passed.
When Asuramaru finally regained awareness, something felt wrong.
He was not in the physical world.
It felt more like he was inside someone's mental landscape.
Before he could investigate further, the system's voice came to explain.
[Ding! Crossover successful.]
[In view of the Host's perfect performance in the previous world, the system will fabricate a perfect identity for you in this world.]
[Crossover World: Jujutsu Kaisen.]
[Fabricated Identity: Demonic Sword Asuramaru.]
[A divine weapon rumored to be inhabited by a god. No one knows when it appeared. No one knows where it came from. Only legends remain.]
[Those who gain its recognition are destined to become the strongest of their era.]
[Bound Host: Itadori Yuji.]
[Binding Status: Innate Cursed Technique.]
[Current Mission: Slay Sukuna.]
[The stronger Sukuna is at the time of death, the higher the final reward will be. After Sukuna is slain, the next crossover may begin.]
Asuramaru fell silent.
Jujutsu Kaisen.
Cursed Energy.
Cursed Techniques.
Cursed Spirits.
And Ryomen Sukuna.
The King of Curses.
Before he could think too deeply, the system continued.
[Ding! Would you like to draw a second template?]
A massive roulette appeared before him, filled with different Demonic Sword templates.
Asuramaru's mood shifted immediately.
"Can I finally change forms?"
After so many years as one sword, he was almost moved to tears.
He pressed the draw button without delay.
The wheel spun rapidly, blurring into streaks of light. Template after template flashed past until the pointer finally slowed.
Then it stopped on a pair of tachi.
One was pitch-black, stained with blood-red along its edge. Several strange white runes marked the sword, and a crimson horsehair ornament hung from its pommel.
The other sword was colder and cleaner, sharp enough to make the soul itself feel exposed.
Asuramaru stared at the image for a moment.
It looked familiar.
Before he could place it, the system gave the answer.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host. You have obtained the Dual Sword Template: Azakana [Wind].]
Only then did Asuramaru remember.
Yone's dual swords?
At first glance, these two swords did not seem stronger than his fully unlocked Asuramaru template.
At least, not in raw destructive force.
But having another form to switch into was already good enough.
Then he opened the personal panel.
[Host: Alex]
[Templates: Asuramaru, fully unlocked. Azakana.]
[Spirit form will jointly inherit the Asuramaru template.]
[Template Abilities:]
[Way of the Hunter: 5,000 emotion points to unlock. After unlocking, Azakana can directly strike the soul.]
[Parting Gale: 5,000 emotion points to unlock. After unlocking, the power of the gale can be used.]
[Spiritualization: 30,000 emotion points to unlock. After unlocking, part of the soul can leave the physical body to engage in spiritual combat.]
[Seal: 50,000 emotion points to unlock. After unlocking, slain experts can be sealed into masks and summoned again.]
[Fate Sealed: Locked.]
[Special Addition:]
[Domain Expansion: Ashura Kannon. Requires 150,000 emotion points to unlock.]
[Domain Effect: Perfectly replicates all previous Sword Masters and souls slain by the sword. Allows unrestricted teleportation within the Domain. The user is immortal and indestructible within the Domain. Swords formed inside the Domain possess a guaranteed-hit effect.]
After reading the ability list, Asuramaru's opinion changed.
These two swords were not weak at all.
More importantly, they were almost custom-made to counter Cursed Spirits.
A sword that could strike the soul directly.
A Domain Expansion with guaranteed-hit sword attacks.
In the world of jujutsu, that was not just useful.
It was vicious.
Asuramaru looked at his remaining emotion points and made his decision immediately.
"Unlock Domain Expansion: Ashura Kannon."
[Ding! 150,000 emotion points consumed.]
[Domain Expansion: Ashura Kannon unlocked.]
"Unlock Way of the Hunter."
[Ding! 5,000 emotion points consumed.]
[Way of the Hunter unlocked.]
