Chapter 205: There Was No Walk Of Shame

Somehow, I managed to return to my room last night without anyone else seeing me.

That is... After leaving two very satisfied women in bed behind.

They had actually wanted me to stay the night with them but I told them that wasn’t possible since I would be missed so they very reluctantly let me go.

It felt like they actually considered just forcing me to stay anyway despite my words and the only reason why they decided not to go through with that was the fact that they were completely worn out from how hard I made them climax over the last few hours and they couldn’t move.

So I guess it was more of a case where they let me go because they couldn’t stop me instead.

Anyway, I managed to get back to my room without being seen somehow, since I guess my Guardians were all quite busy unpacking or something.

I did hear quite a bit of noise coming from the rooms and I realised that our auxiliary team had arrived as well and were busy setting up whatever it was inside their rooms. So they most likely drafted my Guardians in to help them with it as well.

Well, I wasn’t going to complain about the fact that I could avoid any awkward questions thanks to that... Since I did come back smelling like sex since I didn’t think having a shower in their room was safe.

If I had stayed there a moment longer and they recovered, they would have definitely dragged me back into bed.

Those two were beyond insatiable... Even Olivia and Ava could not compare to them when we had our own threesomes... If I hadn’t known better, I would have thought that Siti and Diana were succubi or something, but apparently they were both humans of this World so that wasn’t possible.

I went back to my room and washed myself thoroughly before I did my usual meditation and absorbed the life energy around me.

I realised quite easily that there seemed to be way more life energy around as compared to all the other places I’ve been in so far.

I had to pause my meditation and quickly create a similar formation to my meditation room around the bedroom, letting it help absorb the life energy that was around the place for me to better absorb it.

It wasn’t as refined as the one back home of course, since I didn’t have all the materials I needed for that, but it would function for this purpose here well enough.

I’m not staying here permanently after all so this formation will be taken down once we leave here anyway so there’s no need to make it perfectly.

Once the formation was done, I went right back into meditating and the amount of life energy I was absorbing multiplied by so much that I could actually taste it.

It tasted... Salty... And fruity? Hmm... That’s an odd combination... But I thought it was just a thing with the change in scenery and ignored it in favour of continuing to absorb the Qi in the air.

There was so much life energy that it felt like I was in the middle of the sea surrounded by it.

In my soul space, it felt like a flood of energy was being poured into it, filling it up like a container of water being dumped into another container.

Energy flowed around me and it felt like I was floating the entire time while I was absorbing the energy.

When I opened my eyes, I felt the entire soul space change and shift, the smell of something salty and citrusy filling the air.

I got curious and floated up into the sky of my soul space, only to realise that to the left of my courtyard, a sea had suddenly appeared, its waves crashing onto the shore.

The giant rock formation had gotten even bigger and it was starting to look like a rock pillar that was jutting out from the sea, standing tall and unmoving despite the water crashing around it.

When I looked to the right side of the courtyard, I found myself looking at a rather big field of fruit trees and farmland, all of them growing a different type of harvest in each field.

I wondered if those fruits were edible?

The rest of my courtyard had also undergone a change as it was no longer just a small courtyard with a tree and a building in the centre.

Well... Ok, it wasn’t really that small before this but I guess it was the size of a small park before this... Now it has expanded to become bigger than a football field and the building at the end had also turned itself into a four storey mansion.

It was still built in the ancient Chinese design with the paper windows and tiled roofs but it certainly looked quite grand and luxurious as compared to the simple house that it was before this.

I even went inside to take a look and it really looked like those types of buildings that the really wealthy people in the past might have lived in in the past, aside from the fact that it’s four stories high.

Now I’m wondering... Maybe that thing with the purple palace happened because I didn’t have enough Qi energy yet... I have to increase my Qi energy reserves to the point where the house can naturally form into the palace before I can transform into it or else I might suffer a backlash.

Yeah... That makes sense.

I focused on absorbing more of the Qi energy throughout the rest of the night until my morning alarm sounded, prompting me to open my eyes and return to the material world.

I stretched my arms above my head and checked the time, seeing that I had about an hour before breakfast would be served.

Olivia informed me that food will be brought up to our rooms so that we don’t have to go anywhere and we would then head to the summit at ten in the morning which was three hours from now.

I took the chance to freshen up and pick out my clothes for the day, feeling a little inadequate since the clothes I had were smart casual at best.

I don’t even have a proper, tailored suit since I never really needed one. The one I have is just a rather cheap one that was bought from a thrift store that I used for past job interviews and it’s definitely not suitable to wear to an event like this.

Olivia told me it was fine to wear anything I want but I don’t know if that’s ok if I’m going there to also stand beside two other Mortal Gods.

Figuring it’s too late to worry about that now since we’re already here anyway and there was no chance of me getting a tailored suit done in three hours... I decided to just throw on a simple V neck shirt and a buttoned collared shirt before throwing on a pair of trousers.

As soon as I was done dressing myself, the doorbell rang and I went over to see Jia Lian standing at the doorway with a cart of food laden on top.

She let out a cute ’Eep!’ when the door opened, as though not expecting the door to open at all.

"Mo... Mortal God! Go... Good morning! Umm... I was told to... Deliver the breakfast to you!"

"Ah... Thanks. Have you eaten yet?"

"Umm... No... The... The Guardians will be eating together... In another room..."

"What? Without me? Are you all ostracising me now?" I gasped, acting offended.

She took that more seriously than I thought as she panicked, "No!! We... We thought you would want some privacy!"

I chuckled, "I’m just joking, Jia Lian. Come on then... I’ll eat with you guys. Sorry for making you push this all the way here just to go back."

"A... Ah? No! Not at all Mortal God! Please follow me!"

She stepped aside, allowing me to step out of my room before she started escorting me towards one of the hotel rooms in the empty hallway.

But as we were walking, she suddenly let out a whisper so soft that I almost missed it.

"Umm... Mor... Qing?" She asked, suddenly switching to call me by name instead. "Could I know... What... What happened on the plane... Was that... A one time thing?"

I turned to look at her, "Do you want it to be a one time thing?"

She immediately shook her head without hesitation, but it seems like she did not dare to speak out since she was looking down at the ground with pursed lips.

I guess she’s the type of person who isn’t assertive in these kinds of things... Maybe that’s why she had to pair up with Leena to do what she did.

I grabbed her shoulder and pushed her against the wall, Jia Lian letting out a cute yelp before she realised what was happening. She looked up at me, then closed her eyes and puckered her lips, prompting me to lean down to kiss her deeply.

Mmmm... Sweet~
