The Hidden Sovereign: Beyond Fate

The first thing he felt was cold.

Not the cold of winter, but the damp chill of grass beneath his back.

"...Where am I?"

He slowly opened his eyes.

Towering trees stretched into the heavens, their trunks wider than houses. Blue leaves shimmered under a sky with two moons, even though it was still daylight.

"This... isn't Earth."

He sat up and looked around. The forest was silent.

No roads.

No buildings.

Only the distant cries of creatures he had never heard before.

A sharp pain struck his head.

Memories flooded into his mind—not his own, but fragments of the world's language, currency, and history.

"...What was that?"

Before he could think further—

ROAR!!

A deafening roar shook the forest.

Birds scattered into the sky.

Heavy footsteps thundered closer.

From the shadows emerged a massive wolf nearly three meters tall. Its silver fur glowed with crimson markings, and its golden eyes were fixed on him.

The wolf growled.

The young man slowly stood.

"I don't suppose we can talk this out..."

The beast lunged.

Instinctively, he raised his hand to protect himself.

Suddenly...

Time stopped.

The leaves froze in midair.

The wolf remained suspended inches from his face.

Even the wind became motionless.

"What...?"

A black screen materialized before his eyes.

"What does any of that mean?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the frozen world moved again.

The wolf crashed to the ground before reaching him.

It wasn't injured.

It simply bowed.

Its enormous head lowered until it touched the earth.

"..."

"...You're... bowing?"

The wolf let out a low whine, as if acknowledging someone far above itself.

Then it fled deeper into the forest.

The young man stood speechless.

"I didn't do anything..."

Far above the clouds...

Inside a magnificent palace of light...

One of the gods opened his eyes.

"He has awakened."

Another god clenched his fists.

"It happened much sooner than we expected."

A third spoke in a trembling voice.

"If the Sovereign remembers who he truly is..."

Even the gods fell silent.

Back in the forest, the young man looked toward the distant mountains.

"I need answers."

Without realizing it, a faint black-and-gold aura surrounded him for a moment before vanishing.

The journey of the Hidden Sovereign had begun.
