Chapter 1717 - 1269: Bride · Witch · Silver Lamp_2
3 weeks ago · 6 min read
"This won’t do, this is our wedding vow, I’m not at ease if it doesn’t bind you." Sonia lightly touched the Red Tear Stone ring and astonishingly refined a similar wedding ring from it, leaving Ash dumbfounded — even if it was a gift from Death Mad, your mastery of speed is too quick!
She grabbed Ash’s hand and placed the Red Tear Stone auxiliary ring on his ring finger, the two of them clasping hands tightly as if they had merged into one. The audience erupted in prolonged applause, especially Freyja, who was moved to tears, causing the nearby Siflin and Felix to feel even more conflicted.
At this moment, the narration echoed through the theater:
"Congratulations to this couple on completing their wedding vows. Next is the segment where the second bride reads the proposal vow!"
The spectators were dumbfounded — there’s a second one? But they quickly realized they were surprised too early.
Sonia shot Ash a glare full of mock annoyance, taking a deliberate step back. Ash’s gaze moved past her shoulder to see Diya, elegantly stepping onto the stage in black and white wedding attire.
The "Bride·Witch" card he drew consistently maintains the classic black and white ensemble, yet it’s not a stark checkerboard of black and white but rather layered wedding dresses, with Diya’s finger sleeves in white, but the arm sleeves in black, perfectly blending black and white, hiding mystery in dignity, pure elegance without losing lively cuteness.
She lifted her veil, pressing her lips together as she looked at Ash, her smile truly beautiful, cheeks slightly chubby, infectiously making Ash unable to suppress a smile. She extended her hands, making a gesture like a little girl asking for a hug.
Ash could naturally never refuse, as he never could resist the Witch’s playful charm. He embraced the Witch, twirling two rounds on the stage before setting her down; the Witch clung to his neck, eyes fluttering, lashes slightly trembling, a bit nervously asking: "Would you like to become my family?"
Ash understood the source of her nervousness, as he had completely forgotten the bits and pieces shared with the Witch; no matter how carefree the Witch usually was, she was actually really worried how this would affect their relationship... So he didn’t let the Witch’s anxiety linger for even a second longer, cupping her small face to kiss her before resolutely saying: "I am willing, no matter what happens, we will always be the closest family."
He took the Witch’s hand and placed the black crystal ring "Black and White Time Manipulation Ring" onto Diya’s slender ring finger. Diya stared dumbfounded at the black crystal ring, her eye sockets gradually welled up; Ash just wanted to wipe away her tear when she jumped up, tightly hugging Ash without letting go. Ash gently stroked her back, giving a small kiss to the corner of her eye.
In this moment, Lissdia’s last concern, arising from Ash’s amnesia, completely disappeared.
Diya suddenly remembered something, pulling Ash’s left hand, seeing the Sword Maiden’s ring already on his ring finger, she pouted, refining an auxiliary ring from the black crystal ring, fittingly placing it on Ash’s pinky finger.
"Why the pinky?"
"Because it symbolizes that I will always be the smallest and most cherished lover in your heart."
The theater erupted in applause again, though compared to last time, the applause this time was clearly more complex. It’s not that they felt something wrong in marrying two brides; in the simple Kingdom of Blood Moon, the notion of love hasn’t been fully developed yet, but both brides were absolute beauties who shattered their aesthetic limits — it has nothing to do with gender, any sane person would begrudge Ash.
Yet the narration came forth again:
"Congratulations to this couple on completing their wedding vows. Next is the segment where the third bride reads the proposal vow!"
Another one!? Even for a small theater you are being excessive!
Diya retreated beside Sonia, making way for the silver light that permeated the stage.
As the silver light connected to Ash’s feet, Weiser walked to the center stage holding the Silver Lamp; yet the Silver Lamp didn’t illuminate the darkness of the theater but only shone upon Ash alone. She perfectly recreated the illustration of "Bride·Silver Lamp", the pure white lace wedding dress gleaming under the silver light, the veil covering her silver-white long hair soft as if woven by the silver glow. She wasn’t beautifully divine, rather like a divine being donned in a wedding dress transforming earth into heaven.
Standing about ten steps away from Ash, Weiser blinked, suddenly chatted about something else: "Actually I lied to you before, I was always the one chasing after you, not the other way around."
"Diya secretly told me." Ash replied with a smile.
"So," she took a step towards Ash, raised the Silver Lamp, smiling sweetly, "this time it’s your turn to walk towards me."
The Silver Lamp exploded into a mist of silver light on the stage, and then a shadow flew across the silver mist, embracing Weiser tightly in his arms. The two were shrouded in the silver mist, unseen by the outside world.
"Did you also fly toward me like this?" Ash asked, holding Weiser tightly, blinking a smile: "When you meet someone you like, walking seems too slow."
"Not as impatient as you." Weiser said, burying her head comfortably into his collarbone, "It was always me tempting you to fly to me."
"Speaking of which, this is where you should recite your proposal vow to me, huh."
"I’m your lover, not your wife; I haven’t thought about how to propose."
"But what if I want you as my wife?"
"Then..." Weiser leaned in closer, their lips touching, her seductive eyes laughing softly, "Are you willing not to take off my wedding dress tonight?"
Ash blinked, feeling heat rush to his face and lower body, biting his lip in surrender: "I am willing."
He took Weiser’s hand and placed the silver brilliance ring "Lord of Mirrors Thieving Ring" on her nameless finger woven with light. Though claiming only to want to be a lover, Weiser was nonetheless captivated by the silver brilliance ring in a second, her gaze unable to pull away.
"You might be the first divine being to wear a wedding ring." Ash laughed.
Weiser suddenly whispered seductively into Ash’s ear, "I can’t wait for tonight."
"But, I’ll try to restrain the overflow of silver light." She took Ash’s left hand, drawing a circle of silver light on his middle finger, transforming into a silver brilliance auxiliary ring: "So tonight the light will shine even brighter."
With the silver mist clearing, the audience watched as the groom and bride exchanged rings for the third time. Except for Freyja, the others in the audience unwillingly applauded, inwardly pondering what wrong they had done recently to deserve having their eyes seared in World Film City today.
But this cruelly inhumane dog-abusive agony should be over now —
"Congratulations to this couple on completing their wedding vows. Next is the segment where the fourth bride reads the proposal vow!"
The spectators were no longer shocked, all wearing expressions hoping for destruction swiftly. But after several seconds, no fourth bride stepped onto the stage; only then did the audience begin to entertain — great, is it finally crashing?
