Chapter 27: A car of bridesmaids, the old driver drives!

After explaining clearly, the man took the joyful letter and affixed it to Lin Yang’s car, adorning it with numerous handmade decorations. Instantly recognisable as a wedding car, he gazed up at the residents above before departing – his path leading outside the community. From his departing figure, Lin Yang detected a hint of solitude, surmising urgent work might be the cause for missing the wedding.

Lin Yang felt like a stranger without updates on the bride and groom’s situation. All that remained was to wait for someone to board the bus, transporting them to the wedding hotel. After over half an hour of anticipation, the air erupted with celebratory firecrackers. Smiling relatives emerged from the gate, and at the forefront of the red carpet stood the elegantly adorned bride, embraced by the groom, who entered the luxurious front car together.

Behind them, a duo filmed the scene – one with a camera and the other using a mobile phone, possibly live streaming. Following the main pair were groomsmen and bridesmaids, including four uniformed beauties in pink floral dresses who noticed Lin Yang’s car from a distance.

Approaching, they entered his car in succession, eliciting envy from onlookers. Initially surprised at being chosen, Lin Yang felt a thrill as the beautiful bridesmaids entered. Despite his remote location, his car became the centre of attention.

As the bridesmaids settled in, their first glimpse of driver Lin Yang left them in awe of his handsomeness. Excitement filled the air, with one bridesmaid exclaiming, “Wow! Handsome guy, you are so handsome! Sisters, we’ve picked the right car!”

The bridesmaids erupted in laughter, accusing him of deceit. Maintaining his composure, Lin Yang solemnly declared, “I swear by my 22-year-old first-man body, I don’t have a girlfriend!”

This triggered more laughter, with one bridesmaid doubting his claim of being a first-timer. Lin Yang slyly retorted, “The man who has been dealt with is also a first-timer. Is there something wrong?”

The bridesmaids continued teasing, leading Lin Yang to suggest a test if they doubted his words. Their hushed discussion followed, punctuated by occasional bursts of laughter. Anxious to know, Lin Yang intervened, “Hey, what are you discussing? Let me in on it!”

The girls playfully asked Lin Yang about his preference for girls with long legs. His deadpan response, “How long is it?” led to contagious laughter. As the wedding cars started moving, the girls found Lin Yang’s humour irresistible, keeping the banter alive.

The girls, amused by Lin Yang’s wit, queried him about feeling each other’s heartbeat when hugging someone you love. Still focused on driving, Lin Yang quipped, “Flat chest is also fine!” Their laughter echoed in the car.

A more serious inquiry followed, with a bridesmaid asking about the pain in her heart after a breakup. Lin Yang, quick with his wit, suggested, “The silicone exploded?” This provoked another round of laughter, leaving the girls in stitches.

The conversation shifted to Lin Yang’s driving skills, and he shared unconventional experiences, leaving the bridesmaids bewildered. When asked about his most memorable car, Lin Yang smiled, “The coach car when I was learning to drive!”

The girls nodded earnestly as Lin Yang proceeded with a peculiar analogy. “First, when driving a manual car, remember to enter first gear! Then it’s time for 2nd and 3rd gear. Drive it longer. Don’t put it in 4th and 5th gears as soon as you come up.”

He continued with advice about brakes and acceleration, with a curious suggestion to shift from 3rd to 5th gear for five minutes and then apply a sudden brake. The punchline stunned the studio while the girl inquired perplexed, “????”
