Chapter 21 : The Weasley’s

3 weeks ago · 5 min read

"Move!" Harry shouted, pushing the trolley that held their trunks forward with urgency, his voice cutting through the noisy chaos around them.

"Come on, let's go!"

Tyson followed a few steps behind him at a much calmer pace, just watching as Harry practically charged ahead, carving a way through the thick sea of rushing people.

The station was packed today, full of that typical end-of-summer frenzy, with families yelling goodbyes, wheels clacking over tiles, and the faint smell of train smoke hanging in the air, which he always hated. He didn't know why, but it made his stomach churn.

Above them, the massive station clock kept ticking down steadily.

Ten minutes left.

Yeah, that was still plenty of time.

He already knew exactly how to get to the platform anyway. He was mostly just hanging back to see if the canon events would still play out the way they were supposed to.

Though honestly, he wouldn't be too shocked if they didn't. His actions might have already fucked the plot sideways.

He had basically taken Harry—who was meant to be this pitiful, weak little kid in the movies—and turned him into some kind of budding MMA fighter instead. Who knew how that would affect the storyline long-term?

Hedwig rustled around anxiously inside her cage on the trolley, twisting her head from side to side with quick, jerky movements.

Her sharp golden eyes darted all over the busy station, like she could somehow sense Harry's rising panic, and it was making her edgy too.

Tyson had to admit, the owl was cute. He wouldn't have minded having his own, but between all the plans he had made once he was at Hogwarts, it would be really pushing his timetable if he added taking care of a pet on top of that.

"Platform Nine and Three-Quarters," Harry muttered under his breath, stretching his neck to try and read the overhead signs through the crowds. "Where the hell is it?"

"Harry, I think we need to find some fellow wizards to figure this out," Tyson suggested casually, keeping his voice low. "Because Platform Nine and Three-Quarters simply doesn't exist on any normal map."

Harry frowned deeply, looking a bit lost. "And how exactly are we supposed to find them in this mess?"

Tyson paused, his eyes suddenly catching a streak of something red in the distance. He grinned. "No need, I already did."

"There."

Harry followed his gaze across the bustling floor and spotted a family—a very big family—weaving their way through the crowd.

They all had that same vibrant red hair.

Harry asked doubtfully, "How do you know they're wizards, though? They could just be a regular family with... unique hair."

Before Tyson could even answer, bits of conversation drifted over from the group, loud enough for them to hear.

"—Oh blimey, a muggle nearly crushed my feet on the stairs—"

Harry shot him a shocked look.

Tyson just shrugged. "Honestly, it was the owl and the trunks that gave it away."

Harry accepted the explanation, and they hurried after the family.

As they followed, Tyson studied them more closely, taking in every detail.

The movies really hadn't done justice to just how brilliantly Weasley-family red their hair was.

It wasn't just red—it was aggressively red, almost glowing. They looked almost unnaturally vibrant, like someone had cranked up the saturation.

It reminded him of Kushina Uzumaki's hair from the anime, except these were real people right in front of him.

Only Molly's seemed somewhat more ordinary, though that was mostly because everything else around her looked so intense by comparison.

The woman herself was a little round, older but still attractive in that warm, lived-in kind of way. Her face was lined with years of smiling and worrying in equal measure. At the moment, she was herding her children with the exhausted authority of someone who had long ago accepted chaos as a permanent feature of life.

They all stopped in front of a plain-looking brick barrier between the platforms.

Tyson and Harry halted just a short distance behind them, Tyson leaning forward over their trolley and folding his arms across the handle while he watched the scene unfold.

Molly was already speaking when he tuned back in. "Percy, you go first, dear."

Percy Weasley, the one who would eventually become the family's black sheep before slowly reconciling, nodded in that overly solemn way of his.

He looked so young up close. Honestly, Tyson had always pictured him as more grown-up and stuffy in his head, but here he was, all gangly and awkward, with a serious expression that didn't quite fit his face yet, a bit of acne showing on his neck, and that unmistakable vibe of a boy still trying to figure out exactly where he belonged in the world.

Before Tyson could dwell on it further, Percy vanished through the barrier, momentarily obscured by a passing crowd.

"Blimey, how did he do that?" Harry whispered, sounding genuinely stunned. "Is the wall some kind of magical hologram or something?"

"Probably has a perception filter too," Tyson murmured back, half-joking but also kind of serious.

Harry nodded slowly, clearly impressed by the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Fred and George were already launching into their usual over-the-top comedic routine with their mother, teasing and joking around.

As the twins darted forward one after the other with matching grins, Tyson gave Harry, the more innocent-looking of the two, a light nudge forward.

Harry immediately stepped forward, understanding the assignment. Good boy.

"Excuse me?" Harry asked nervously.

Molly turned around right away, and her warm smile spread across her face as she took in both boys. Tyson waved cheerfully from behind his trolley. "Oh, hello, dears! First years as well? Ron here is new too, just starting out."

Ron Weasley gave them a quick nod, looking awkward but trying to be polite about it.

Tyson studied him carefully for a moment.

Ron was ridiculously tall for an eleven-year-old and all long limbs, like he hadn't quite grown into his own body yet.

His robes already looked a little too short on him, his face was covered in freckles, and those bright blue eyes held that same familiar mix of curiosity and awkwardness that Tyson remembered so well from the movies.

"The thing is, we don't know how…" Harry hesitated, glancing around. "The crowd blocked our view, so we didn't see how—"

"How to get onto the platform?" Molly finished for him kindly. When Harry nodded, her smile grew even softer and more understanding.

"Oh, don't worry, dear—it's quite simple, really. Just walk straight into the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop, and don't be afraid of crashing into it. That's the trick."

"That's all?" Harry asked, sounding surprised.

"That's all! Go on then, give it a try. Just keep moving, and you'll be perfectly fine, I promise."

Harry shot Tyson a quick sideways glance.

"You're older, so you go first," he said flatly, not leaving much room for argument.

Tyson scoffed lightly but turned anyway, rushing toward the barrier without any more hesitation.

The next moment, the wall swallowed him whole.

'Hogwarts! Here I come!'
