Billie and Prescotts team scoured the cache, which was much more fruitful than the one that Slampa had found. Inside they located two AK-47’s, tons of sets of clothing, a KEVLAR VEST equipment, three BASIC MEDICAL KITS, and a new weapon I eagerly inspected;

This weapon has only a single use. It is not equipped like a normal weapon, you must assign it to one of your special weapon slots. BOOM!

Holy wow… the damage on that thing was incredible! Sadly, I couldn’t use it, as my strength was far too low. It didn’t look heavy… so I wonder why the requirement?

As the others got assembled and dressed, we took account of everything we had. We were still short two ranged weapons for everyone to be properly armed, but Slampa gave up his Baretta and I handed over my knife. This just left one person unarmed, Maher. She didn’t feel right being armed with others being unarmed, and agreed to just hang back until we located another weapon.

With that put aside, Slampa, Billie, and Prescott held a small meeting while the rest of us kicked around chatting. The squad leaders were forming a plan on what to do next. While locating the rest of the red team, which was only four members, was priority, we found we could use the chat function to talk with other squads on our team so long as we had inspected them and knew the team leads name. I was technically our squad leader, having started the invite, so all anyone had to do was message TO WATSONS TEAM and we would see the message now that they had inspected me. Additionally, we also unlocked access to a new ALL TEAMS chat, which would send a message to every team we are allied with and have inspected. This would make communication so much easier, as juggling so many chats is a bit of a chore. Getting used to communication this way was going to take a while.

I wonder if this is how the friends list worked. When would that be allowed to be used, I found myself pondering, as the leads returned to the group. We bunched around, tired of sitting idle. We had already burned half a day at this point, and we hadn’t even begun to plan for what to do about the other team.

“Alright, listen up,” Slampa said, taking control immediately. Billie had a sour face, I could tell she wanted to be the one talking, but she let Slampa have this one. “My… Team James will begin recon on the enemy base. Right now we are probably way behind them in terms of equipment, levels, and preparations. Remember, all they need is to repel us, so I guarantee they’ve been working hard on that front. From what you guys have said, they are way better equipped than us right away… so we need to start seeing what we can do to level the playing field.”

Everyone nodded, a somber feeling coming across us all.

“Team Watson, our mission is to start spotting flaws, and testing the enemy defenses. If possible, we need to gather some equipment as well, maybe kill a recon team or two. Billie said they are much more numerous the closer we get.”

We nodded.

“Team Prescott and Team Stone, you are to continue looking for the rest of the team, as well as try and finish equipping yourselves. If possible, try and take out a recon team if you see one, that will help a lot. I have made a small map with the thanks of the one Adams had, to give you general directions to two more caches we thought teams might show up at.”

The other two teams nodded.

“Any questions?” Slampa looked around, and there were none. The orders seemed sound.

Suddenly a message popped up in the chat, and I could tell everyone else saw it.

TSGT CANTOR TO ALL TEAMS: Team Walsh has been killed in action. Trainee Lozano is still unaccounted for. I need you to track down Lozano immediately; ensure his safety, he is already behind the curve. This objective is a team wide objective and will be assigned to all teams. If you have any questions, message in ALL TEAMS. Now move out!

Suddenly a new box popped up on my HUD;

NEW OBJECTIVE

Secure Trainee Lozano. This is a team objective. The team that completes this objective will receive 100 XP and +1 Skill Point.

PERIMETERS: This objective has no time limit, but will expire if Trainee Lozano dies before being secured.

Everyone looked to one another and started moving, we had a lot to do and not a whole lot of time to do it.
