Elara could tell Nancy and Yardley had worked things out.

When Nancy stopped by to bring Park Hotel Group’s quarterly reports, she looked totally different. No more tense shoulders or worry lines. She actually looked relaxed.

"You look happy today," Elara said, putting her laptop on the coffee table.

Nancy smiled by the big windows. A real smile this time. "That obvious?"

"Totally. And I’m happy for you."

Elara had been worried for weeks. Yesterday she almost told Alpha Dominic everything about Nancy and Yardley over breakfast. But now she didn’t need to worry anymore.

"I finally told Yardley the truth and we talked everything through," Nancy said. Her voice sounded much lighter. She looked at the work papers mixed with prenatal vitamins and half a bagel. "How’s the reality show going?"

"Pretty good. The TV crew knows what they’re doing. Working from home makes it easier too."

"Pack Life: Baby on the Way" was documenting her pregnancy as the Alpha King’s mate. The show was broadcasting live, giving viewers real-time access to their daily life.

Elara had decided to completely avoid social media during filming. She didn’t want to read mean comments from strangers online. She didn’t want internet drama stressing her out during her first trimester.

What Elara didn’t know was that "Pack Life: Baby on the Way" had already become huge online.

Reddit had tons of posts analyzing every episode. TikTok was full of fan videos. Entertainment blogs were calling it "must watch TV."

But she stayed away from all that. She focused on her pregnancy and work instead of getting caught up in online drama.

Nancy glanced at her watch. "I should get back to the office. These reports just need your signature." She set the folder down and headed to the door. "Thanks again, Elara. For everything."

That evening, Elara found Alpha Dominic in bed reading his iPad. This was weird. Most nights he read business news or worked on pack stuff. Social media wasn’t his thing.

She got on the bed and looked at his screen. It looked like Twitter had exploded with heart emojis.

"What are you looking at?"

"Fan comments. Listen to this." He started reading like a talk show host.

"This is literally the first time I’ve shipped a TV couple and found out they’re actually married in real life. I’m basically psychic now."

Elara sat next to him and pulled on her sweatshirt. He kept reading.

"The way Alpha Dominic takes care of Luna Elara during morning sickness? I need to move to this pack because guys here think ordering pizza counts as cooking."

He was grinning like he’d won the lottery.

"Luna Elara is living every woman’s dream but with better health insurance."

He put the iPad down with a smug look. "So. How am I doing according to the internet?"

Elara couldn’t believe this guy was reading fan comments about himself. His ego was already huge.

"Your head’s going to explode if it gets any bigger," she said, but she was smiling.

"Come here," Alpha Dominic murmured, setting the tablet aside completely. He reached for her, pulling her closer until she was practically in his lap.

"What are you doing?" she laughed as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Showing my pregnant wife some attention." His hands found the hem of her sweatshirt, slipping underneath to rest on her bare skin. His touch was warm and gentle. "How are you feeling today? Any nausea?"

"A little this morning. Nothing too bad yet."

His thumbs traced slow circles on her sides, just above her hips. "Good. I worry about you."

She melted into his touch, letting him pull her down until she was lying beside him. "You worry too much."

"Can’t help it." He brushed her hair away from her face, his fingers lingering on her cheek. "You’re carrying our baby."

The way he said ’our baby’ made her heart skip. She turned her face into his palm and kissed it softly.

"I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too." He leaned down and captured her lips in a slow, tender kiss. Nothing rushed or heated, just pure affection.

When they broke apart, he rested his forehead against hers. "Both of you."

His hand moved to her stomach, palm spreading across the still-flat surface. "Hey there, little one. Daddy’s here."

She rolled her eyes and got under the covers. "Go to sleep."

"That’s not an answer."

"Good night, Dominic."

He laughed and put the tablet away. Then he lay down next to her carefully. His hand went to her stomach. Still flat, but the doctor said that would change soon.

"I bought a baby stethoscope," he said quietly. "For when we can hear the heartbeat."

She was getting sleepy but smiled at his words. "Such a control freak."

He kissed her forehead. "Sweet dreams, wife. Sweet dreams, baby."

The mate bond hummed quietly between them.

What neither of them knew was that their reality show had caught the attention of more than just fans.

In a rundown motel across town, someone was watching the live stream with growing interest.
